The Bias-ness of wanting "good" for your child

Mum and Son having a conversation while Son gulps down a bottle of drink.

Mum: "What would you like to have for lunch later?"
Son: "Mac & cheese! 😋"
Mom: "ok, we buy back to eat☺️."
Son: "later I want to look at guitar at the shop"
Mum: "for what 😠? No..."

Whether you debated that it's genetics that causes you or your child to be obese, it's also part of your actions & lifestyle that makes him/her/yourself growing larger each day. In this case even though the child is visually obese in reality but the parent failed to see that and allowed her child to drink on sweet drinks and unhealthy foods. She then went on to reject the child's request to look at something which he might be interested in as a hobby. I personally felt that this is surreal and why this parent do not encourage her child to enjoy or maybe even pursue his hobby/enjoyment etc but yet allows him to "kill' himself further...

You just need to put in more effort than others in exercising to keep your weight in the healthy range if you're the so-called genetically obese. You're not damned to be obese. It a choice and the implications is enormous if you do not know. It's not about you dying just like that.

Think about the medical fees incurred, the amount of retirement money needed to spend on snacks and extra food, mobility aid/s when you're too fat to walk when old or sick or injuries, you WILL NOT have adequate insurance coverage and NO company will cover you in such a state. And of course the genetic mutations in you passes down to the next generation and you think it's fair?

Think about it. Instead of encouraging and supporting their current obesity state by buying unhealthy foods for them or yourself, encourage them to go for healthier activities. Exercise with them. Money better spent I would say. Do you say so too?
