3 Doctors

3 Doctors

IMG_3610.JPG

There are three Doctors that a patient went to recently. All of them are qualified General Practitioners. Years of experience in the field and have their own clinics.

Doctor one: arrived 47mins late driving an expensive car. Casually walking into his clinic and took another 12mins before announcing for the first patient to go in. Diagnosis as brief and ended the consultation within 5mins great was that it opens when other don’t. Cost of consultation and medication was $$$.

Doctor two: a popular doctor who flaunts his network of celebrities and famous local Politicians on his clinic walls. Was detail in his diagnosis but assumed many possibilities of how the condition might have occured and not very understanding. Consultation took less than 8mins and the cost for that and medication was $$$$.

Doctor three: a simple down to earth clinic  with no aircon and only fans. Doctor took efforts to understand and listens to the patient. The clinic was crowded but each diagnosis was not rushed. Consultation take about 11mins and the cost of consultation together with the medications is $$.

Three different Doctors, same condition from patient. Three Doctors gave different consultation styles. Diagnosis as quite similar but the approach and medications prescribed are totally different. Patient recovered from the recommendation from doctor three.

Just a thought: Does it mater how rich or how “popular” your doctor is? They might not be able to help you in your full recovery but they earns the most. Whereas a humble, down to earth doctor does the same job, gets patients back to health and with his dedication and better understanding of his patients.

Which doctor would you say is more successful? Just being wealthy is successful? Or just being popular is successful? Or the one who helps you to recover is successful in his work?

A food for thought and I hope this story helps you to better find your successful doctor, lawyer, agent, teacher or any other professionals in the future.
